In completing this file questions became apparent with the Thomas Harris properties. The tract Harris’s Delight was patented to Thomas Harris in 1746 and the tract Boxes Search was patented to Thomas Harris in 1750. The two tracts are about 3 miles apart and located near Emmitsburg. In 1748 Thomas Harris sold the tract Harris’s Delight to Joseph Farris (PG Co. Deed BB-445). The deed shows Margaret Harris wife of Thomas Harris waiving dower rights.
