Christian Orndorff (Blacksmith) in 1762 obtained from James Smith 503 acres the tract called Smiths Hills (Fr. Co. H-244). Deed states except a 100’ square burying ground in part of Smiths Hills at a marked stone setup on the Westside of Antietam Creek. James Smith reserves free passage for himself and his heirs forever.
